Job description

The Safran USA Communications Intern works closely with US-based communications teams as well as the Safran Corporate Communications office.


The Communications Intern reports to the Manager, Communications of Safran USA and will assist in implementing strategies and actions to further develop the Safran brand in the US. The Communications Intern will take an active role in digital communications (intranet and social media) and internal communications.


The Communications Intern will be tasked with the following missions:

  • •Copywriting/ Proofreading
o Identifies story topics
o Assists in creating news articles and promotional materials (fact sheets, leaflets etc.)
o Proofreads communications materials

  • •Internal Communications
o Assists with management of company intranet:
Publishes articles on a weekly basis
Coordinates training for U.S. contributors
o Develops and maintains U.S. communications Sharepoint network

  • •Digital Communications
o Social Media:
Assists in developing relevant content for social media channels
Identifies opportunities to engage target audiences
o Analytics:
Monitors and reports communications analytics (website, intranet, social media)

  • •Media Library Management
o Sources imagery for news articles and projects
o Identifies photography needs within the U.S. (facilities, products, projects)

  • •Media Relations
o Closely monitors Safran and industry media coverage and creates a weekly US-focused press review
o Updates media contact lists

Job requirements

  • •Strong communications skills
  • •Experience managing social media channels (Twitter & LinkedIN)
  • •Microsoft Excel & Office proficiency
