Research, design and development
Professional, Engineer & Manager
Creates or modifies models and drawings of transport elements and aircraft water and waste system installations using CAD software, typically Catia V5. Reviews work with senior members of the integration team to ensure drawings and models meet customer and Monogram needs.
A. Utilizes CAD software to construct, modify and/or interrogate 3D models, in accordance with aerospace industry standards (ASME Y14), for transport elements and aircraft installations.
B. Utilizes PLM/PDM software to control CAD data configuration. Documents drawing changes per company practices. Ensure data input into PLM/PDM tools are meeting Monogram requirements and Industry Standards.
C. Ensures quality deliverables for the installation and integration. All products should be interference free and install without rejection tags. Strives to create Drawings and Models free of mistakes and errors.
D. Supports installation and integration design projects. Performs detail design of transport elements. Follow Monogram policies and procedures. Looks for opportunities for efficiencies in the engineering processes, and makes recommendations on improvements to peers and management.
E. Performs basic or preliminary engineering tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineering staff.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution
Desired is 3 years experience in CAD design of Mechanical product
Desired is 3 years of experience in CAD design of Aerospace Equipment
A. High level of proficiency on Catia V5 (3D & 2D) and with DMU's. Knowledge of other industry Computer Aided Design systems. Proficiency in MS Office suite.
B. Knowledge and familiarity with ASME Y14 drawing practices, including reading GD&T and applying basic GD&T controls.
C. Strong knowledge of industry standard PLM/PDM tools.
D. Working knowledge of engineering design, product development and manufacturing concepts to facilitate analysis of integration and installation design.
E. Good problem solving skills based on solid technical reasoning.
F. Good communication skills.
G. Good organizational skills.
H. Knowledge of industry standards.
