Job description

1) Occupational Summary:

This position supports the complex process of gathering data, analyzing results, and publishing accurate demand plans that point the rest of the business in the correct execution direction. The demand plan also serves as the data of record for measuring the financial pulse of the business. Additionally, this planner will play a key support role in the company's S&OP process -- facilitating the alignment of a single end-to-end company plan based on the published demand. In summary, the Demand Planner provides both strategic and tactical support in the critical role of predicting and communicating future volume trends and works extensively with cross-functional partners to improve overall analytical capability for Safran Seats USA.

2) Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

A) Work with Executive Team, Management, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Sales Teams in Demand Planning operations specifically S&OP Processes.
B) Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
C) Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
D) Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner.
E) Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management.
F) Schedule forecast review meetings with management on regular basis.
G) Maintain demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
H) Work with team to plan, coordinate and execute demand planning activities.
I) Update forecasts for new products, aftermarket services, and production operations.

ii. Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal
B) Education and Experience:
i. B.S degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field OR 6 years or relevant/related experience in lieu of degree

B) Education and Experience:
i. B.S degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field OR 6 years of relevant/related experience in lieu of degree
ii. 1 to 3 years of previous experience in forecasting, order management, preferred but not required
C) Competencies:
i. General understanding of planning tools and ERP Systems.
ii. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and training skills.
iii. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
iv. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
v. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Data Base Reporting a plus.

D) Communication Skills:

i. Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
E) Reasoning Ability:

i. Ability to solve problems and think strategically.
