Professional, Engineer & Manager
1) OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for financial closing and reporting, including monthly & quarterly reporting requirements for parent company; month end close tasks; as well as the preparation and completion of accounting journal entries, general ledger analysis, budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for taking the lead role in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support to operations, capital expenditure analysis, ad hoc analysis, audit support, trend analysis of revenue recognition and margin.
Also responsible for business analysis and improvements for developing, analyzing, and interpreting statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget and other related matters that impact the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
2) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Prepares monthly financial package for Safran Seats USA.
B) Prepares annual operating budget and rolling forecast.
C) Performs monthly general ledger account reconciliation's and analysis for headquarters.
D) Maintains Fixed Asset system.
E) Assists in annual audit by external auditors.
F) Analyzes various cost elements and overheads.
G) Prepares and develops ad-hoc management reports for decision making.
H) Develops methodology to measure profitability by market segment in order to improve management's ability to make decisions.
I) Creates and modifies financial forecasting models
J) Review and interpretation of trend analysis
K) Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
3) QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A) Knowledge and skills:
i) Must have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles in accordance with GAAP.
ii) Must have knowledge of manufacturing general and cost accounting in a standard cost environment.
iii) Must have ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
iv) Must have working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
v) Must have knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
vi) Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
B) Education and/or Experience:
Four (4) year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or six (6) years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree. Plus an additional three (3) years of experience in Finance or Accounting required; preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the Aerospace industry desired. CPA license a plus.
