Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
Schedules certification & testing workload in accordance with program milestone and EDR schedules, provides status and schedule updates to department head and other appropriate entities on a regular basis.
Lead the certification and testing teams to ensure on time completion of tasks with proper quality within allocated budget.
Ensures proper compliance with regulatory, airframer requirements and company policies & procedures.
Ensures continued improvements of certification and test laboratory.
Responsible for quality of all certification tasks and test data.
Defines and maintains standardization.
Coordinates and ensures proper communication with regulatory bodies to be in compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with FAA regulations. Knowledge in Finite Element Analysis software (e.g., Hyperworks, LS Dyna, etc.)
Must be able to communicate well with internal departments, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Experience in transport airplane seating system certification process is required with emphasis in structural testing of seats and seat components
Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field or 6 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
Plus 5 years related experience in the industry required.
Plus 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience required
