Safran to showcase its innovative technologies at Heli-Expo 2015
March 2, 2015
As a leading provider of innovative equipment for the rotorcraft market, Safran once again will be in the spotlight at Heli-Expo – the world's largest trade show dedicated to helicopters. The propulsion, avionics and other rotorcraft system solutions offered by the group are to be exhibited during this annual industry event's 2015 edition, which will take place March 3-5 in Orlando, Florida.
Four companies will exhibit under the Safran banner this year: Turbomeca, Microturbo, Sagem and Labinal Power Systems. As the world's leading helicopter engine manufacturer, Turbomeca's main displays will include a range of the company's engines – including the Ardiden 3, the Arrius 2R and the Arrano, which has been chosen to power the all-new Airbus Helicopters X4 rotorcraft.
Joining Turbomeca on the Safran exhibit booth (Booth #2620), Sagem's display will feature avionics equipment and systems – including the Integrated Cockpit Display System (ICDS) and the Cassiopée suite of flight services. In addition, Safran's booth is to highlight a selection of power generation and power distribution systems by Labinal Power Systems, as well as Microturbo's e-APU (electric auxiliary power unit).
Safran products – ranging from turbine engines, auxiliary power units and avionics to wiring harnesses, electrical power generation systems, landing gear, wheels and brakes – are applied on numerous commercial and military aircraft for such U.S. customers as the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, national and state law enforcement agencies, along with emergency medical services, commercial offshore and tourism operators.
