Safran is recognized for commitment to improving employee wellness

Safran Landing Systems in Walton, Kentucky has been awarded the Silver-level recognition for the second year in a row in the American Heart Association's Workplace Health Achievement Index.
This Safran facility has participated in the program for several years and earned Silver and Bronze level recognition in recent years.
The Workplace Health Achievement Index is an annual self-assessment tool employed to evaluate companies' workplace health programs. A survey consisting of 55 questions pertaining to the organization's health programs, health policies, and health-enhancing environment make up the Index.
The Index uses the American Heart Association's "Life's Simple 7" indicators to evaluate the company's workplace health initiatives. More than 1,000 companies completed the 2019 Index assessment.
Safran Landing Systems' employee health strategy involves collaboration with St. Elizabeth Health Care to coordinate on-site health and wellness programs, including exercise classes, a fitness center, walking paths, quarterly wellness lunch and learns, quarterly wellness challenges, individual health coaching, and a wellness committee.
Additionally, the Walton facility hosts an on-site Nurse/Wellness Coordinator who oversees these activities.
The Safran Landing Systems wheels and carbon brake production and refurbishment facility in Walton was opened in 1999 and has undergone five expansions. It currently employs more than 350 people.
